Muis is in-charge of issuing Halal certificates in relation to any food product, service or activity in Singapore. It also ensures that the requirements of the Muslim law are complied with in the transportation, production, processing, storage, marketing and display of the food product, the provision of that service and the carrying out of that activity. At present, Muis offers seven types of Halal certification schemes to cater to various sectors of the industry.
