Introduction
This introduction is part of the Hajj Awareness program; a facilitator
is required to present this program to participants in a proper way, using
the Hajj Road Map so that recipients are able to follow the discussion
in a more meaningful manner.
By speaking about “manasik” in the Hajj Awareness Program,
we do not mean to teach Hajjis the “manasik” Such issues are
supposed to have been covered by Islamic Scholars, mosque “imams”
and other qualified persons who dedicate their efforts and knowledge in
guiding Muslims and “hajjis” in particular. The purpose of
discussing the “manasik” issue in this program is to achieve
its safe performance, free of risks arising from intensive congestion,
which in turn can lead to misbehavior, confusion and loss of control and
order in emergency situations.
It may be a mercy of Allah that Muslims have many doctrinal schools “mathaheb”
with only minor differences limited by some hypothetical evidence. While
definite evidence are indisputably acknowledged, hypothetical ones often
involve more than one meaning and cannot cover all events. Therefore,
there has always been a need for judgment “Ijtihad” based
on wise juristic reasoning “qiyas” and respect of reason,
wisdom and intent in relation to new issues. This was the method adopted
by scholars of the famous doctrinal schools. The differences among them
have been a mercy and grace, giving more than one solution to adopt in
time of emergencies.
However, we really need to undertake easier solution approved by Muslim
scholars in such conditions due to the increasing numbers of “hajjis”
and the space limitation of the “hajj” sites. The aim is to
assist in the prevention of loss of life so that “hajjis”
may return to their countries and families, happy and pleased with the
performance of “hajj” and be role models for all future “hajjis”
Based on the above principles, we will review in the following points
the rites “manasik” that will be performed at each of the
hajj site and the best possible time to perform them for the sake of hajjis
safety.
Participants are free to choose alternative approved by scholars the best
provide maximum flexibility to perform “manasik” in a sage
and orderly fashion.
Allah
(God) intends every facility for you; he does not want to put you to difficulties.
(Al - Bagara - 185).

Allah
(God) doth wish to lighten your (difficulties): for man was created (in
flesh). (Al-Nisa’a - 28).
