1 The Ministry of Haj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has allocated 900 places for Singaporean pilgrims for Haj 1439H/2018 season – 100 more than the previous Haj season.
2 The announcement was made today by Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim at the project launch of the new Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah campus.
3 Between 2012 and 2016, Singapore was allocated 680 Haj places annually, due to extensive development and upgrading projects taking place in the vicinity of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, particularly the expansion of the Mataf (circumambulation) area.
4 The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) has contacted all eligible Haj registrants regarding the additional places available.
