Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Mr Masagos Zulkifli delivered a pre-recorded speech addressing the community on the theme ‘Building a Resilient Community of Success, Together’. Mr Masagos reminded us on the need to build resilience in our Muslim community and elaborated on Muis’ efforts in securing the future of the community beyond COVID-19.
Other key highlights include announcement of new community platforms for religious learning during mosque closures, use of online resources to support donations to mosques and the SGUnited Buka Puasa initiative. In supporting lower-income groups, Mr Masagos announced the automatic extension of zakat financial assistance for individuals and families on assistance schemes during this circuit breaker period.
Launching the Career and Competency Framework (CCF), Mr Masagos invites asatizah to learn more about the CCF, established to uplift the asatizah sector, through career development pathways and upskilling. Mr Masagos also updated on plans for an International Conference on Communities of Success (ICCOS), to be held after COVID-19 subsides.
