Reflections on the Day of Arafah

Arafah is a plain outside the city of Makkah, where Muslims performing Haj gather. This gathering is considered the pinnacle of Haj – so essential that the Haj is not valid without it.

On this occasion, let us reflect on two significant matters which relate closely to the Day of Arafah: 

First: The gathering of people on the plains of Arafah to perform the rite of Haj. 

Second: The Prophet’s message in his farewell sermon, which emphasised the preservation of human welfare.
