Announcement on the beginning of Zulhijjah 1442H/2021 for Singapore

According to astronomical calculations, the crescent for the month of Zulhijjah was above the horizon for about 20 minutes after sunset this evening.

As such, the first day of the month of Zulhijjah 1442H falls tomorrow, Sunday, 11 July 2021.

I am pleased to declare that Hari Raya Haji falls on Tuesday, 20 July 2021.

Let us enliven these holy days with obedience and good deeds. May we be bestowed with an appreciation of the meaning of sacrifice behind Aidiladha and celebrate the occasion safely and happily.
