All 900 Haj pilgrims have departed for sacred journey

Final group of about 300 pilgrims leaves on the last coordinated Haj flight; Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs to join pilgrims
The final group of Haj pilgrims from Singapore departed for Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on early Thursday morning, 14 May 2026 via Saudia Airlines. The group consists of about 300 pilgrims from seven MUIS-authorised travel agents, completing Singapore’s full Haj contingent of 900 pilgrims for 2026.
Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Head of Haj 2026 Delegation, Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim was present at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 to send off the pilgrims. He was accompanied by Mr Mohamed Sa'at Abdul Rahman, President of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), Mr Kadir Maideen, Chief Executive of MUIS and Mr Mohammad Azree Rahim, Deputy Chief Executive of MUIS and Director of Haj Office, Singapore Pilgrims’ Affairs Office (SPAO). Also witnessing the sending off was His Excellency Mr Mohammad Abdullah Alghamdi, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Singapore.
Singapore’s Haj 2026 ContingentThis year’s Singapore pilgrims departed to Saudi Arabia via three flights - Saturday, 9 May, Tuesday, 12 May and Thursday, 14 May 2026. The SPAO team was on the ground to provide support and assistance to all Singapore pilgrims throughout their pilgrimage journey.
Acting Minister will be joining pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to lead this year’s Singapore’s Haj delegation. He will be accompanied by Mr Mohammad Azree Rahim, who will be overseeing on-ground operations and support for Singapore pilgrims in the Holy Land, with other officials.
Update on Pilgrims in the Holy LandsSingapore pilgrims from the first and second Haj flights, who are currently in Madinah and Makkah, are reported to be in good health and are preparing well for the pilgrimage ahead, which will commence in late May.
