Announcement by Mufti for the month of Syawal 1446H (2025) for Singapore

Mufti of Singapore announces that the first day of Syawal falls on Monday, 31 March 2025.

According to astronomical calculations, based on the criteria of imkanur rukyah as agreed upon by the member countries of MABIMS, the crescent moon for the month of Syawal did appear above Singapore’s horizon for 48 minutes after the sun set this evening.

Therefore, I am pleased to declare that the first day of Syawal or Hari Raya Aidilfitri for the year 1446 Hijrah falls tomorrow, Monday, 31 March 2025.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims in Singapore a blessed Hari Raya Aidilfitri. May this Hari Raya bring us blessings and victory as a result of all our acts of worship and good deeds that we have undertaken throughout the past month of Ramadan.
