Release of 2025 PSLE results for madrasah students
25 November 2025
Strong performance reaffirms madrasahs’ continued commitment to holistic education and academic excellence.
Madrasah students who sat for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) received their results today. Arrangements were made for students to receive their results in their respective madrasahs.
Performance of 2025 Primary 6 Madrasah Cohort
A total of 332 Singaporean Primary 6 madrasah students sat for PSLE this year, of which 99.1% of the students are assessed suitable for secondary school. Since 2014, the percentage of students who passed the PSLE has remained above 90%.
All madrasahs have successfully met the PSLE benchmark this year. Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) congratulates all students from these madrasahs1. All four madrasahs will continue to retain their “designated school” status2 under the Compulsory Education (CE) Act, allowing them to admit children exempted from CE at Primary 1.
Commenting on the performance of our madrasah students, Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Assoc Prof Faishal Ibrahim said, “I congratulate all students, including our Malay/Muslim students in national schools and madrasahs, for completing this important milestone. I am proud of each one of you for giving your best. To our students who may not have achieved what they hoped for, remember that this is just one step in your learning journey. What matters are the effort that you put in and the resilience to continue doing your best in the next chapter of your education. Whether you are moving on to a national secondary school or madrasah, there are many opportunities ahead for you to discover your strengths, realise your full potential and contribute to the community and country. To our teachers and parents, thank you for your unwavering support and guidance. Your commitment has shaped our children’s resilience and confidence. Over the years, the community has done well in national examinations, and this is a shared achievement we can all be proud of”.
