Singapore concludes Haj 2026 with return of final group of pilgrims

Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs expresses appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Haj partners and support teams for ensuring a safe and meaningful pilgrimage for Singapore pilgrims.
The final group of approximately 300 Singapore Haj pilgrims arrived at Changi Airport Terminal 3 on Monday, 8 June 2026, via Saudia Airlines, bringing this year's Haj season to a close. Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs, Assoc Prof Faishal Ibrahim, welcomed the returning pilgrims, and was accompanied by Senior Management of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). Families gathered at the terminal to receive their loved ones.
Reflecting on the 2026 Haj season
As Singapore's Head of Delegation, Acting Minister was present throughout the Haj season, visited pilgrims at key stages of their journey including the Wuquf in Arafah and Mabit in Mina during the days of Tashriq, as well as engaged with Saudi authorities and fellow heads of delegation at the Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah.
Throughout the season, the Singapore Pilgrims' Affairs Office (SPAO) worked closely with service providers, the medical team and appointed travel agents to coordinate support and care for pilgrims throughout their time in Aziziyah, Madinah and Makkah.
Looking ahead
MUIS expresses its appreciation to the Saudi authorities, service providers, travel agents, and all partners on the ground for their support and dedication throughout the season. Their collective efforts ensured that Singapore's pilgrims were cared for at every stage of their pilgrimage.
MUIS and SPAO will continue to work with the Association of Muslim Travel Agents Singapore (AMTAS) and appointed travel agents to review this year's operations and gather feedback from pilgrims. These insights will be used to identify improvements for future seasons, as part of MUIS's continued commitment to serving Singapore's Muslim community.
