Update: Disruption to The Meat Brothers' local korban arrangements at four mosques
23 May 2026
MUIS appreciates the operator's efforts to engage affected Sohibul Korban and implement contingency arrangements, including refunds and alternative korban options
The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) refers to the update issued by The Meat Brothers' (TMB) regarding the disruption to its local korban arrangements at four mosques.
TMB has shared that despite efforts to ensure the livestock would arrive in Singapore in time for Hari Raya Aidiladha, export approval from the Australian authorities was not obtained in time. As a result, local korban arrangements at Al-Firdaus Mosque, Petempatan Melayu Sembawang Mosque, Pusara Aman Mosque, as well as part of the livestock allocation for Jamae Chulia Mosque, have been affected.
MUIS understands the disappointment and concerns experienced by affected Sohibul Korban. We appreciate TMB’s continued engagement with affected Sohibul Korban and its efforts to implement contingency arrangements, including refunds and alternative korban options.
We seek the community’s understanding and doa for all affected Sohibul Korban, and encourage everyone to extend support and compassion to one another during these blessed days of Zulhijjah.
