The Haj Office in MUIS plays a crucial role in managing, coordinating, and organising the annual pilgrimage. It also shapes the future of Haj services and regulates the Haj travel industry in Singapore.

Introduction

The Haj Office in MUIS strives to be one of the best Haj authorities in the world.

Haj Office aims to:

  1. Ensure the requirements of the Muslim Law are complied with in relation to the provision of Haj services.

  2. Safeguard the safety and welfare of Haj pilgrims in the Holy Land.

  3. Promote the proper administration of any matter relating to the Haj.

Function

Haj Office functions to:

  1. Allocate official Haj places given by Saudi authorities to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis (based on registration date).

  2. Appoints Haj travel agents to provide range of Haj packages to our pilgrims.

  3. Serves as the Singapore Pilgrims’ Affairs Office and coordinates and manages medical services for our pilgrims in the Holy Land.

  4. Authorises appointed Haj travel agencies, Haj packages and accredited Mutawwifs to ensure pilgrims’ safe departure to the Holy Land and return to Singapore.

  5. Coordinates with relevant Saudi authorities to process Haj visa for our pilgrims.
