Achieving Peace Through Supplications

  • It is unsurprising to find the demands of our daily hustle disrupting our peace of mind. People are now faced with numerous challenges due to the stresses of life. On the surface they might appear healthy and happy. Yet deep within themselves they harbour feelings of sadness and despair.  Thus, it is vital for us to actively partake in healthy activities as a means to manage our stress. Some might choose sports and exercise as an outlet to relieve stress, while others might opt to spend time with family and friends.

  • However, have we ever considered to also make supplications or du’a as a platform for us to channel our laments and anxieties? Amongst the many purposes of making du’a is that it makes us more confident in the will of Allah s.w.t. It also humbles us to make us realize that we are human beings who are in constant need of Allah’s help. There are times when we worry that our worldly affairs would not turn out as well as we had hoped. Some of us might feel despaired that our efforts did not achieve the desired results.

  • When we make du’a and supplicate to Allah s.w.t., it endows our soul with calmness and tranquillity. In fact, we are never isolated nor are we alone, Allah s.w.t. is always close and He listens to the cries of His servants. When we seek comfort in Allah s.w.t, surely our plans will fall into place.
