Quranic Guidelines for The Life of a Believer

  • The purpose behind the promise of reward and punishment in the Quran is to imbed taqwa in Allah s.w.t. As humans, we feel motivated to perform when promised with a bountiful reward. Similarly, if we heed the warnings mentioned in the Quran, we will be fearful of committing sinful acts.

  • It is a religious obligation for Muslims to understand the verses of the Quran. As such, it is imperative that we obtain the correct understanding of its verses. Some verses may be relatively easy to comprehend, for example the benefits of certain deeds and actions. However, there are religious texts whereby simply reading its translation without proper knowledge and understanding is insufficient.  Such texts require guidance in order to explain and further comprehend the background, context, and wisdom behind each text.
