Maintaining the Rights and Responsibilities Among Family

  • Today is the last Friday in Ramadan. Surely, in these last few days and nights of this blessed month, we are striving even harder and more diligently in increasing our supplications and efforts to gain Allah’s forgiveness and mercy (rahmah).
  • Ramadan is not only the time when we are busy with good deeds such as performing more acts of worship, making supplications and reflections, but it is also the time when we strive to spread compassion among humanity. This is the true meaning of taqwa that we need to aim for. That is the character of a person with taqwa - his relationship with Allah is good, and so is his relationship others.
  • When we talk about being compassionate or having ihsan towards others, I should emphasise that it begins with those closest to us: our family members.
